FLOAT MAKING 

A purpose built copy attachment designed for a float maker who wanted to get all his floats exactly the same. A High speed grinding head is fitted to a slide. A stylus follows a cam made to the floats shape. The balsa blank is shaped using special mandrels and drivers. All float bodies come out exactly the same. This unit was made to fit the float makers own lathe. The copy unit can be made to fit any small lathe.

  To finish a float body  from a piece of balsa . Once put between the centres on the lathe it takes no longer than two minutes to machine a float body.  POA
